- Ascertainment of the Timing Reference with the inclusion of analog components in digital studio systems, and of the Sampling Reference in digital systems
- Capture of conversion losses and signal-to-noise ratios
- Monitoring of the signals during the automatic measurements
- Ascertainment of the signal path parameters
